The North Carolina State Port in Wilmington is 26 miles from open sea and is maintained at 38’ mean-low water. The port offers containerized, breakbulk, RO/RO and bulk cargo capabilities. There is 1,132,582 square feet of warehouses, including 30,000 square feet of refrigerated storage.

Land has been purchased to build a State Port in Southport, North Carolina. The port is projected to be completed in 10 to 20 years.
