Education

Brunswick County offers seventeen public schools, two of which are specialty schools.  There are also several private schools throughout the area that serve kindergarten through 12th grade.  To enroll a child into school, call the Brunswick County Board of Education, 910.253.2900, to find out which school your child will attend.  To qualify for kindergarten, children must be 5 years-old on or before October 15 and parents will need to present a copy of their child’s birth certificate, immunization records and social security number.

Postsecondary education is also available in Brunswick County through Brunswick Community College and Gardner-Webb University’s Goal Program.

Students can complete their undergraduate degree through Gardner-Webb University’s GOAL Program at Brunswick Community College.  All community college graduates with an accredited Associate’s degree are accepted.  For more information, visit www.goal.gardner-webb.edu or call 800.288.GOAL.
