ATMC Holds 60th Annual Meeting of Members
Bolivia, NC -- ATMC’s 60th Annual Meeting of Members was held Friday, October 6th, at The Odell Williamson Auditorium on the campus of Brunswick Community College.
Attendees enjoyed a barbeque dinner and a special performance by the River City Dixieland Jazz Band, who serenaded the crowd with their New Orleans style jazz. The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Quartet also performed the National Anthem. A total of $3,000 in cash prizes was given away, and Brenda Bottoms of Southport was the Grand Prize Winner of $750.
Jamie Milliken, ATMC Board Vice President, spoke of the commitment ATMC has to its members.  He said, “ATMC is committed to your community and one of the ways we’ve proved that is through Capital Credit refunds. Since the year 2000, ATMC has refunded more than $42 million dollars in Capital Credit refunds to our members. From the first land line service in 1957, to the enhanced services that ATMC offers today, your cooperative has a rich history and we are proud to serve you, our members.”
During the business meeting, directors Whitney King (District 1), Janice Gore (District 3), and Douglas Hawes (District 6) were each re-elected for three-year terms. O’Neal Miller, ATMC CEO and General Manager, spoke about the progression of ATMC’s five-year expansion and upgrade plan as well as the successes of the year. He added, “We are excited for what 2018 holds as we continue to invest and improve our traditional service area as well as branch out to expand the influence of this great corporation. On behalf of myself and our Board of Directors, I want to give a heartfelt thank you to all of our members for helping us achieve another successful year.”
